Firm Also Named Illinois Law Firm of the Year for Sixth Consecutive Year
Chicago – For the second consecutive year, Sidley Austin LLP was named “USA Law Firm of the Year” in the Who’s Who Legal annual awards. Sidley was also recognized as the leading firm in Illinois, for the sixth year in a row, with more lawyers selected for inclusion than any other firm in the state.
“It is such an honor to have been named USA Law Firm of the Year for another year,” said Thomas A. Cole, co-chair of the firm’s Executive Committee. “We greatly value this recognition by our clients and peers.”

The awards are based on a number of factors, including general feedback received in the research process, past performance in the research and the overall aggregate number of weighted votes cast in their favor. The winners are formally announced in The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers 2012, a compendium edition of all the individual Who’s Who Legal publications, which is released in June and covers 31 practice areas and over 100 countries.
Sidley was also been named global “Trade & Customs Law Firm of the Year 2012” in the Who’s Who Legal Awards. The firm has received this award every year since its inception eight years ago.
