Sidley Named to The National Law Journal's 2009 Appellate Hot List
Sidley has been named to The National Law Journal's 2009 Appellate Hot List. The survey recognized those firms that scored at least one significant appellate win since February 2008, as well as an impressive legacy overall. Sidley was recognized for the diversity of issues represented, ranging from obscenity in broadcasting and criminal sentencing to coal leasing on Navajo lands and rules of arbitration, as well as the volume of cases handled, representing parties in 10 cases and as an amicus in six others. Noteworthy cases for which Sidley was acknowledged include CSX Transportation Inc. v. Georgia State Bd. of Equalization, Fox Television Stations Inc. v. FCC and Kyocera Wireless Corp. v. International Trade Comm’n. Sidley was also named to the inaugural list in 2008.
