SHEILA A.G. ARMBRUST (née Gogate) is an associate in the Litigation group in Sidley’s San Francisco office, where she represents clients in a diverse range of criminal and civil litigation and enforcement matters, focusing on securities, healthcare, and white collar litigation.
Ms. Armbrust has guided clients through all phases of litigation in complex, high-stakes commercial cases. She has experience conducting internal investigations, defending companies, directors, and officers in shareholder class actions and derivative actions in state and federal courts, assessing clients’ current policies and procedures with respect to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), as well as defending against federal government and qui tam actions under the False Claims Act (FCA). She also has been involved in the briefing of several appeals in federal court.
Ms. Armbrust is a member of Sidley’s E-Discovery Task Force, and she regularly advises clients on document preservation, collection, and production issues.
