Training

The activity of the London office is currently divided into the following practice groups:

• Corporate

• Corporate Reorganisation and Bankruptcy
• Debt & Equity Capital Markets
• Debt Finance, including Structured Finance, Debt Restructuring, and Derivatives

Trainees spend time in at least four of the practice group areas. In each group, you will sit with a partner or a senior associate to ensure that you receive individual training, which is both effective and based on practical experience. In addition, there is a structured timetable of training on a cross-section of subjects. 

Pay

On joining £39,000 per annum, increasing to £43,000 in second year. Our current Newly Qualified Associates salary is £72,000 per annum.

We offer assistance to our future trainee solicitors to undertake the required GDL or LPC courses that they are due to commence or, at the time of offer of contract, have not yet completed.  Fees are paid together with a maintenance grant of £7,000 per annum.
