Sidley is pleased to announce that Mark Herzog has joined the firm as pro bono counsel in its Washington, D.C. office. Mark also currently serves as a commissioner on the D.C. Access to Justice Commission and on the D.C. Commission on Human Rights.
Mark has more than 25 years of experience counseling clients on pro bono matters, including those involving housing issues, family law, public benefits, consumer law and bankruptcy. Previously, Mark was associate director of the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center, where he oversaw legal services to more than 7,000 clients annually, and designed and implemented new models of delivering pro bono services to address the unmet needs of people living poverty. Prior to joining the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center, Mark handled major felony matters at all stages of litigation in his role as senior associate with the Legal Aid Society of New York.
