Stephen D. Blevit
STEPHEN D. BLEVIT is primarily involved in structuring, negotiating and documenting complex business transactions involving both debt and equity. Mr. Blevit’s clients include Wall Street banks, special opportunities hedge funds, private equity funds, private debt funds, and corporations. Mr. Blevit’s transactions cover a variety of industries and, in particular, Mr. Blevit is known for his work in transactions involving residential non-performing mortgage loans and REOs.
Prior to joining Sidley, Mr. Blevit worked for billionaire entrepreneur, Eli Broad, as the Assistant to the Chairman of SunAmerica Inc. While working for Mr. Broad, he handled mergers and acquisitions and corporate development responsibilities for SunAmerica and was also involved in the management of SunAmerica’s alternative asset portfolio. Prior to working for Mr. Broad, Mr. Blevit was an associate in the Corporate Department of an international law firm in Los Angeles. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and practiced accounting at his family’s accounting firm in Chicago.
