Sidley Africa-Asia Agricultural Enterprise Pro Bono Program


The Africa-Asia Agricultural Enterprise Pro Bono Program was launched in 2012 by Sidley Austin, to provide free legal support to small and medium sized agricultural-related enterprises and development non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Africa and Asia. The program aims to impact and benefit the small, poor farmers and farm workers, particularly women, who labor at the bottom of the food chain. Sidley’s holistic approach ensures both tangible and intangible gains to the beneficiaries.

Babban Gona is a Nigerian agricultural franchise working towards improving the incomes of one million smallholder farmers by 2025, through franchising farmer organizations. They provide high quality and cost-effective services which help smallholder farmers make the transition to a more profitable, small-scale commercial farming. 
     
mPedigree small    mPedigree Network

mPedigree Network is a social enterprise based in Ghana, working towards ending the trade of counterfeit products such as agro-inputs and medicines, in Africa and Asia. They have been saving lives in the developing world by allowing consumers to identify the authenticity of several sensitive products including medicine. 
     
asri    Alam Sehat Lestari (ASRI)

Alam Sehat Lestari (ASRI) is an innovative non-profit that dovetails environmental and human health in rural Indonesia. They work to protect both the Gunung Palung National Park and surrounding local communities by integrating high-quality, affordable health care with strategies to protect biodiversity and natural resources.
