KRISTEN R. SEEGER is a partner in the Chicago office. Ms. Seeger regularly represents corporations, officers and directors, financial institutions, accountants, and other defendants in a variety of complex litigation matters. Recent representative cases in federal and state court include securities and other class actions, shareholder derivative suits, professional liability and negligence actions, and actions related to mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Seeger also represents clients in connection with investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Ms. Seeger has performed extensive pro bono work. In 2008, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association presented Ms. Seeger with their Award for Excellence in Pro Bono Service for her representation of the plaintiff in a Section 1983 civil rights case.
Ms. Seeger is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Professional Liability Litigation Committee, Section of Litigation, including serving as its Newsletter Editor from 2009 - 2011.
Ms. Seeger graduated with honors from the University of Chicago Law School where she received the Joseph Henry Beale Prize for outstanding written work and the Bell, Boyd & Lloyd Prize for excellence in written advocacy.
