LYNN D. FLEISHER, PH.D., is counsel to the firm and has practiced in the Chicago office since 1986. Her practice focuses on health care association law, professional credentialing and telemedicine and e-health law. Dr. Fleisher represents associations; certification, accreditation and other credentialing bodies; and foundations in the health care area. As legal counsel to these organizations, Dr. Fleisher provides advice and counseling on a variety of issues including: not-for-profit corporate and tax matters; governance, fiduciary obligations, conflicts of interest and confidentiality matters; eligibility and other credentialing issues; copyrights, cheating and other examination issues; due process and appeal procedures; standard-setting; organizational and professional liability; disability and discrimination questions; publishing; and privacy and security issues.
Dr. Fleisher also advises on legal issues related to new medical technology; standards of care and the development of clinical and laboratory practice guidelines; informed consent and confidentiality; and the provision of e-health, telemedicine, and disease management services. She lectures nationally on many of these subjects. She has written a number of medical-legal articles for various publications, and recently developed and is a Co-Editor and author of the treatise, Telemedicine and E-Health Law. Dr. Fleisher is recommended in the Legal 500 U.S. 2014 in Not-for-profit.
