Farid R. Maluf

Counsel

FARID MALUF is a counsel in Sidley’s New York Real Estate group. Mr. Maluf’s practice is concentrated in real estate finance and he has considerable experience representing domestic and foreign financial institutions in the closings of large commercial mortgage loans, the acquisition of mortgage loans and loan portfolios and workouts and restructuring of real estate financings. Mr. Maluf has regularly closed several billion dollars worth of financing transactions each year and has spent a large part of his career advising domestic and foreign financial institutions in numerous aspects of real estate and real estate finance, including fixed and floating rate financings, construction and renovation financings for large office buildings, residential facilities, luxury hotels, condominiums, shopping center developments and mixed-use projects, leasehold and sale-leaseback financing and mezzanine loans. Mr. Maluf is admitted to practice in the State of New York. He earned his B.A. degree from Haverford College in 1981, and his J.D. degree from New York University School of Law.
