MARK A. TYNDALL is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Tyndall focuses his practice on healthcare legislative and policy matters, healthcare fraud and abuse issues, and other legislative and political strategy issues. Additionally, he assists clients with monitoring and analyzing foreign public policy developments and understanding U.S. federal, state, and local government ethics laws.
Before attending law school, Mr. Tyndall was a Government Relations Advisor in the Washington, D.C. office, where he advised clients on international trade and economic issues, health care policy issues, lobbying and ethics reporting requirements, and other legislative and political matters.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Tyndall served as a Professional Staff Member of the United States Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry. While at the Senate, he worked on legislative and oversight issues relating to food safety, international food aid, homeland security, and international trade. Additionally, he assisted in the development of legislation that created the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Mr. Tyndall earned his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School, where he served on the Executive Committee of the Moot Court Board and chaired the 2010 National Security Law Moot Court competition. Additionally, he has completed the International Human Rights Law Summer School at Oxford University. He holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the College of William and Mary and a B.A. in Economics, cum laude, from Christopher Newport University.
