KATHLEEN L. ROACH is a partner in the Chicago office with an active trial and complex commercial litigation practice, with emphasis on securities fraud, business torts, trade secret and contract litigation. She has acted as lead counsel on numerous contract and other matters tried to jury verdict, bench decision or arbitration award, including cases involving:

alleged violations of state and federal securities laws;

alleged improper termination of billing services contract;

alleged improper termination of sales services contract;

alleged usurpation of partnership opportunities;
-
alleged improper award of construction contract;
-
alleged misappropriation of trade secrets; and
-
alleged breach of employment non-compete agreement.
Ms. Roach chairs the firm's Committee on the Retention and Promotion of Women, and also serves on the firm's recruiting and pro bono committees. She is also a past President of the Chicago Council of Lawyers. In 2002, she was given the Equal Justice Award by the Legal Assistance Foundation for her pro bono work on behalf of LAF and two of its employees in the landmark employment testing litigation.
Ms. Roach is also a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and in 1999-2000 was a Fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago.
