HOLLY A. HARRISON joined the firm in 1985 and was admitted to partnership in 1992. Ms. Harrison is the head of the General Litigation Group in Chicago and a Global Coordinator of the Complex Commercial Litigation team.
Ms. Harrison practices in complex commercial litigation, and has an active trial and appellate practice in a variety of substantive areas, including civil RICO, trade secret and unfair competition, insurance, business tort, and business contract litigation. Over the last several years, Ms. Harrison has successfully tried a number of cases in state and federal courts, acting as first-chair at trial with respect to each of these cases. Some of her most recent trials include a two-month business tort and RICO jury trial in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida on behalf of a large international banking and investment company in which the client received a $30 million judgment; a case before a federal court in Madison, Wisconsin with respect to an earn-out provision in a stock purchase agreement that resulted in a $15 million judgment in our client’s favor; and a business fraud dispute for control of a United States subsidiary of an international manufacturing company, resulting in a directed verdict in favor of the firm’s client.
Ms. Harrison’s current representations include several Fortune 500 companies in the insurance brokerage, health care and financial institutions industries, as well as foreign telecommunications companies. She also actively participates in pro bono matters.
Ms. Harrison has assumed leadership roles in a number of the firm’s administrative committees, formerly serving as Chicago and international chairs of the Summer Program Committee. Ms. Harrison is currently co-chair of the Chicago Legal Recruiting Committee.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Harrison was law clerk to the Honorable Raymond J. Pettine, United States District Judge for the District of Rhode Island.
