MICHAEL P. PECK is senior counsel in the New York office. Mr. Peck’s practice is focused on the representation of broker-dealers in derivatives-related transactions as well as other related financial transactions and trading arrangements. In addition, Mr. Peck has extensive experience representing lenders and borrowers in warehouse and gestation repurchase transactions and securities lending arrangements for a variety of types of assets, including single-family mortgage loans, commercial mortgage loans, auto loans and securities backed by these and other types of cash flow assets. He represents both broker-dealers and commercial banks in secured loan, global note and other forms of lending transactions in the United States and Europe. In addition, Mr. Peck has developed programs for the financing of certain cash-flow assets including servicing fee income, excess servicing interests and rights to reimbursement for servicing advances. Mr. Peck also has considerable experience in the areas of derivative product acquisition and sales, the exercise of optional redemption rights and the transfer of bond servicing and call rights. He has extensive experience representing both underwriters and issuers in publicly registered and privately placed mortgage and asset backed securities transactions.
Recently, Mr. Peck has represented clients participating in programs created by the Federal Reserve and Treasury such as the Term Asset-Backed Securities Loan Facility and the Public-Private Investment Program.
Mr. Peck frequently participates as a panelist in securities lending and asset financing symposia.
