Alyssa B. Monsen
ALYSSA MONSEN is an associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation group of Sidley’s New York office. Alyssa’s practice focuses on patent litigation with an emphasis on pharmaceuticals and chemical arts including cases filed under the Hatch Waxman Act.
Prior to practicing law, Alyssa was a strategy consultant for pharmaceutical companies at Computer Sciences Corporation. She also has experience working with a market research firm catering to hedge fund and institutional investors covering pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and dental markets. Alyssa was an editor for The Tax Lawyer at Georgetown University and was the recipient of the 2008 CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Tort Law.
- InSite Vision Inc. et al. v. Sandoz Inc. et al., (D.N.J. 2013) - Before joining Sidley, Alyssa was part of a team representing Plaintiffs in a Hatch Waxman litigation involving the topical ophthalmic antibiotic AzaSite®. After a seven day trial, the District Court found every asserted claim of the four patents-in-suit valid.
