Mr. Schrank represents institutional investors, lenders, insurers, developers, retailers, corporations and multi-investor ventures in connection with sales and acquisitions, equity investments, joint ventures, construction and permanent loans, mezzanine loans, preferred equity investments, mortgage origination for commercial mortgage-backed securitization programs, restructurings and work-outs, sale-leasebacks, and commercial and industrial leasing and development. Mr. Schrank’s recent work includes the following: representation of the lead secured creditor in connection with a bankruptcy reorganization of a major Las Vegas casino company and related acquisitions and equity conversions; representation of the lenders/depositors in connection with a $975 million combined senior mortgage loan origination/CMBS securitization and multi-tranche mezzanine loan origination and sale secured by a multi-tranche mezzanine loan origination and sale secured by a multi-state restaurant portfolio; representation of several financial institutions and investment banks in completing various new construction, acquisition and conduit financings, CMBS securitization transactions and in restructurings, purchases and sales of existing loans; and acquisitions of commercial properties via foreclosure and deed-in-lieu of foreclosure.
