On June 11, 2008 at 12:00 PM EST, the Sidley Austin LLP Employment and Labor Group will hold a web seminar for clients and friends of the firm to address strategic options in a challenging economy, including how to complete a successful Reduction in Force (RIF) while minimizing legal risks to your company and how to implement RIF alternatives such as furlough programs and voluntary programs that offer exit incentives to employees.
Designed for in-house legal and human resources professionals, the seminar will address relevant federal and state laws, as well as provide a brief discussion of pertinent issues such as enforcement of confidentiality agreements and restrictive covenants when employees are laid off, drafting effective severance agreements, managing the forfeiture provisions of equity incentive programs and potential immigration issues.
Presented by the Sidley Austin Labor, Employment and Immigration group.
