With patent damages law in flux, it’s important to stay on top of trends and emerging issues. Law Seminars International’s “Litigating Patent Damages” conference on May 29-30, 2014, in San Francisco will allow you to gain valuable insights on these subjects, starting with a keynote address from Federal Circuit Judge Randall Rader titled “The Present and Future of Patent Damages: A View from the Federal Circuit.” The conference will also feature another view from the bench by the Honorable Paul Grewal of the Northern District of California.
In addition, the conference will feature panels of outstanding patent litigators and damages experts who will review the current state of the law and examine best practices in patent damages analysis and strategies for proving and refuting damages claims.
Sidley partners Vern Winters and Bryan Anderson will be featured speakers at the event. Vern will serve as the moderator for “Role of the Expert after Apple v. Motorola: Reports, Motions in Limine and Preparing for Trial” from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on May 29, and Bryan will discuss “Splitting Profits Between Patent Owners and Manufacturers” from 10:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. on May 30.
