Three Sidley partners will be featured speakers at the Global AgInvesting Conference, April 27-30 in New York. The conference will offer a comprehensive overview of agriculture investment opportunities, risks and return profiles across all major global production regions, as well as strategies for diversified ag portfolios including regional variation, private equity, and liquid investments. Sidley will also be hosting a table at the Networking Roundtable on April 28 covering challenges and opportunities in strategic partnerships.
- Alyssa Grikscheit, a partner in our Investment Funds, Advisers and Derivatives, M&A and Private Equity practices will moderate the panel “Ag Private Equity.” The panel, held on Tuesday, April 28, from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., will provide alternative perspectives from private equity managers whose strategies focus on various downstream activities along the supply chain, representing ag exposure with very different risk and return profiles.
- Joshua Hofheimer, a Technology & IP Transactions and Emerging Companies and Venture Capital partner, will moderate the “Ag Venture Capital” panel on April 29 from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. The panel will provide insight into agriculture technology investment, with a focus in precision technology, soil monitoring, seed trait genetics, irrigation systems, crop protection and more.
- Craig Chapman, a Securities, Private Equity and Insurance partner, will moderate the panel, “Agribusiness Opportunities in Australia & New Zealand” being held on April 29 from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. This panel will discuss types of investment vehicles for exposure to the ag sector, as well as opportunities to generate sustainable value chain margins in both markets.
