Please join us for a discussion of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) environmental reporting requirements, enforcement considerations, the impact of the Trump Administration thus far and developments in sustainability reporting in the private sphere.
The disclosure of environmental risks and liabilities is an area of law and policy that continues to evolve in response to SEC action and continued public and shareholder demands for increased corporate transparency. Our discussion will include the early 2018 launch by Institutional Shareholder Services of an Environmental & Social QualityScore tool and the fall 2018 submission of a petition to the SEC for rulemaking on environmental, social and governance disclosure. The speakers will also address environmental matters for corporations to consider, especially with regard to climate change, as they prepare their 2019 10-Ks.
