Blockchain technology and tokenization have become buzzwords for asset owners and fund managers alike who are looking to employ new technologies to address the many challenges of the fund-raising process.
Sidley partner Joy Lam and counsel Josephine Law, together with Philip Pang of Liquefy, will provide an introduction to blockchain technology and the benefits and challenges of tokenization – including a look at transactions and funds that have adopted the concept of tokenization. The presentation will also discuss the regulatory issues in Singapore and Hong Kong related to the offering and marketing of fund-related security tokens.
