On October 31, Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) released 15 new questions applicable to U.S. companies and other methodology updates to its QualityScore corporate governance ratings tool (formerly known as QuickScore). One notable change is that the updated version of QualityScore includes five scored questions relating to proxy access, whereas the previous version simply tracked for informational purposes whether or not a company has adopted proxy access. ISS also opened its annual data verification period, which provides companies with the opportunity to verify their data against QualityScore’s methodology through November 11.
