Tokyo – Sidley Austin LLP is pleased to announce that Daniel Lin has joined the firm as a partner in its Tokyo office (Sidley Austin Nishikawa). He will be a member of Sidley’s Project Finance and Infrastructure practice.
Mr. Lin focuses his practice on energy, infrastructure and M&A matters, advising Asia-based commercial lenders, export credit agencies, utilities, trading companies and corporations on outbound financing and foreign investment in energy projects and other assets around the world. He has counseled prominent Japanese utility companies on cross-border investments and M&A matters in a variety of industry sectors, including power generation facilities as well as several Asia-based financial institutions and government-supported credit agencies in financing both greenfield and brownfield infrastructure projects.

Mr. Lin is the latest addition to Sidley’s growing Project Finance and Infrastructure practice following the notable additions of David Asmus and Brian Bradshaw in Houston, Texas. In addition to Mr. Lin, John Inglis has also joined the firm’s Tokyo office as counsel. Mr. Inglis’ practice focuses on advising clients on a variety of cross-border energy, infrastructure and M&A matters. Mr. Inglis will also be a member of Sidley’s Project Finance and Infrastructure practice.
