The International Law Office honored both Brussels/London partner Kristina Nordlander and Washington, D.C. partner Justin A. Savage with its 2019 “Client Choice Award” for providing “excellent client care.”
Kristina, co-leader of Sidley’s Antitrust/Competition group, was recognized this year for her work in the Life Sciences sector, having previously won the award in the Competition & Antitrust category in 2018. She has a record of success in using EU law and litigation in the Court of Justice to improve market access for her life sciences clients. Kristina routinely represents clients in high-profile EU court proceedings and antitrust investigations. Kristina’s practice also has a strong focus on antitrust enforcement in the digital economy where she represents several online marketplaces and platforms.
Justin won the award for representing clients in the Environmental sector. He focuses his practice on high-stakes environmental litigation and strategic counseling, including government enforcement actions, internal investigations and rulemaking challenges. Justin’s clients span the range of regulated industries and are particularly concentrated in the auto and energy sectors, including refiners, chemical manufacturers, producers, OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and aftermarket companies.
Since 2005, the Client Choice Award has been presented to those law firms and partners around the world that stand apart for the excellent client care they provide and the quality of their service. Recipients are recognized for their ability to add real value to clients’ business above and beyond the other players in the market. Notably, law firms and partners can only be nominated by corporate counsel.
