Mobilization for Justice (MFJ) honored Sidley at its annual benefit dinner for the firm’s continued tradition and long-standing commitment to pro bono, public interest and community service work both in New York and globally. At the event, MFJ’s Executive Director, Jeanette Zelhof, lauded Sidley for its “many years of pro bono work with Mobilization for Justice” and noted the firm’s current work with MFJ’s Children’s Rights Project. Also noted was Sidley’s contribution to MFJ’s “Turning 5” program to assist low-income New Yorkers obtain special education services for children with disabilities. Upon accepting the award on behalf of Sidley, Senior Counsel James Arden pledged that the firm would continue to “stand side by side with Mobilization for Justice” to help New Yorkers in need and assure that “children with disabilities receive the proper education they need — and are entitled to — to help them thrive in life.”
Sidley lawyers and staff devote more than 100,000 hours annually to serving those most in need. The firm considers every one of its pro bono matters “high impact,” as the consequences of the work are critically important to improving the lives of Sidley’s clients.
