The National Law Journal named Chicago partner Meenakshi Datta to its 2020 “Health Care/Life Sciences Trailblazers” supplement. The annual special supplement spotlights individuals working on a range of issues, including life sciences litigation, the opioid epidemic and medical marijuana, dubbing them “agents of change.”
Meena was profiled for focusing her practice on helping the industry transition to value-based discounting and pricing arrangements, as pharmaceutical companies shift away from volume-based discounts to ones that reflect varying discount levels based on the performance of the products in real-world patient populations. She was cited for representing clients in forming legislative and regulatory proposals on value-based arrangements and for counseling them in structuring those arrangements within the existing framework of healthcare laws. The supplement further commended her for helping clients navigate commercial launches of novel and specialty drug and device products.
Meena is a global co-leader of Sidley’s Healthcare practice, leads the Chicago Healthcare group and is a member of the firm-wide Global Life Sciences team. She manages key strategic matters for life sciences, healthcare and technology companies throughout the world.
