Sidley partner Lei Li was named a “China Client Choice Lawyer” by Asian Legal Business (ALB) for the third consecutive year. The award recognizes “outstanding lawyers who have established the strongest client connections” in China.
Lei received well-deserved compliments from clients: “Lei Li has abundant experience in anti-corruption and bribery laws, particularly in the life sciences industry. He provides extremely constructive advice to clients, not only from a legal perspective, but also from a commercial perspective.”
The managing partner of Sidley’s Beijing and Shanghai offices, Lei Li advises clients on a range of regulatory, compliance, and enforcement matters in China, with a particular focus on the life sciences sector.
He has extensive experience in all types of anti-corruption, government investigation, and compliance matters across China, where he represents both multinational companies in China and local Chinese companies. He also routinely advises companies in FCPA/anti-corruption audits and investigations, M&A due diligence reviews, and developing internal control and compliance programs for their business operations.
Selection to the ALB China Client Choice was based on nominations from in-house legal counsel and executives, as well as from business consultants at non-legal enterprises. Each participant responds to a survey and provides reasons for recommendation of the participant’s choice of lawyers.
