Sidley Shortlisted at the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards Europe 2026

Sidley has been shortlisted in the “Innovative Lawyers in Private Capital” category at the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards Europe 2026. The annual awards are given by the Financial Times and its research partner, RSGI, to recognize innovative law firms and in-house legal teams across the European market for their originality, leadership, and impact.

Financial Times has shortlisted Sidley for advising Athora in its £5.7 billion acquisition of Pension Insurance Corporation Group Limited (PICG). Following the transaction, PICG became Athora’s first UK subsidiary and serves as its UK insurance platform, complementing its presence in the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, and Germany.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on September 24, 2026.
