Sidley is proud to join the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Louisiana litigation campaign against police misconduct. The ACLU of Louisiana, 14 law school clinics, and 33 other top firms have joined forces in a new initiative called “Justice Lab: Putting Racist Policing on Trial.” The initiative aims to bring strategic lawsuits to combat racism by challenging racially discriminatory policing practices, while training the next generation of lawyers in civil rights litigation. This effort will seek to vindicate the rights of people of color subject to racially motivated stops, seizures, searches, false arrests, and uses of force in Louisiana.
