Sidley is representing client JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., as administrative agent (JPM), under a prepetition asset-based loan facility in connection with the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing of BJ Services, LLC and its affiliates (collectively, BJ Services). BJ Services commenced voluntary cases under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas (the Bankruptcy Court) on Monday, July 20, 2020. BJ Services, a leading provider of hydraulic fracturing and cementing services to upstream oil and gas companies engaged in the exploration and production of North American oil and natural gas resources, announced that it has voluntarily filed petitions under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. The first day hearings seeking customary relief were held before Judge Marvin Isgur in the Bankruptcy Court on July 21, 2020.
