Singapore’s Ministry of Law (MinLaw) announced on December 29, 2020 that it will renew the Qualifying Foreign Law Practice (QFLP) licenses of all nine firms in Singapore that are currently in the QFLP program. The QFLP licenses have been renewed, subject to conditions (as per past practice) including the requirement to meet quantitative and qualitative targets. Sidley is proud to be among those who were renewed.
Sidley established its first office in the Asia Pacific region in Singapore in 1982. In 2013, Sidley was one of only four firms to be granted a license to practice local law in Singapore under the QFLP program.
