Sidley Represents EnvisionTEC in Sale to Desktop Metal

Sidley is representing EnvisionTEC, a global provider of 3D printing solutions, in its sale to Desktop Metal (NYSE:DM), for approximately US$300 million in cash and stock. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2021, subject to various approvals and other closing conditions. Following completion of the acquisition, EnvisionTEC will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Desktop Metal. Al Siblani, the CEO and founder of EnvisionTEC, will become a member of the board of directors and a senior executive officer of Desktop Metal upon closing of the transaction.

The Sidley team was led by Karen Dewis, Matt Stoker, and Sarah Tucker, and included Zack Pullin, Ben Rosemergy, Daniel Ray, Michael Roberts, Dr. Roderic Pagel, and Julius Koblitzek.
