The Partnership for New York City has selected Sidley partner Patrick Michel for the 2022 class of David Rockefeller Fellows. Patrick is the first Sidley partner to be selected to be part of the fellowship program.
For more than thirty years, the David Rockefeller Fellows Program has been preparing senior corporate executives for more active leadership in civic and public affairs, giving them the unique opportunity to better understand New York City and take a more active role in shaping the city’s future. During the 12-month program, fellows meet with leaders in the public and private sectors through a series of meetings, site visits, and tours that are held two to three times per month.
Patrick Michel is a partner in Sidley’s Investment Funds group. Patrick has a wide variety of experience advising investment managers and advisors of a range of investment funds, including real estate funds, private equity funds, and hedge funds, as well as on commercial and regulatory issues. Patrick was named to Crain’s New York Business’ 2021 “Notable Black Leaders & Executives” list for his leadership and public service in diversity and inclusion. He is also recommended by The Legal 500 for his work in Investment Fund Formation and Management: Alternative/Hedge Funds and Investment Fund Formation and Management: Private Equity Funds.
