Chief Learning Officer Names Sidley a 2016 LearningElite Organization and an Editor’s Choice for Leadership Commitment

Chief Learning Officer magazine once again named Sidley to its annual list of the LearningElite, which recognizes organizations that employ exemplary workforce development strategies that deliver significant business results. Sidley has received this prestigious honor every year since the award’s inception in 2011 and remains the only law firm to have earned the LearningElite recognition. The firm ranked No. 6 out of 70 ranked organizations on the 2016 list—its second consecutive top 10 ranking. This year the firm also received the Editor’s Choice Award for Leadership Commitment, a special designation for singular achievement in one of five categories that comprise the LearningElite selection criteria.

The 2016 LearningElite judges commented that the firm “has created a gold standard of professional development with its learning and development program” and noted that Sidley’s “learning culture is established from top to bottom and is a key to its success as a global law firm.”

The LearningElite is a peer-ranking and benchmarking program that is widely recognized as the most comprehensive standard to objectively assess both the scope and value of an organization’s learning and development practices. Sidley was recognized for its leadership in learning and development, from strategy to execution to impact. The firm’s commitment to world-class training and development plays a critical role in supporting excellence in client service.
