IVET BELL practices in the Investment Funds group in the firm’s New York office. Her practice focuses on the structuring, operation, offerings and trading agreements of alternative investment funds, including private equity funds, hedge funds, funds of funds and REITS.
Representative clients and matters include advising:
- Fund sponsors on fund formation and offerings, as well as institutional investors on their investments in private investment funds.
- Issuers and underwriters in both public and private debt and equity transactions, including initial public offerings.
- Buy-side clients in negotiating derivatives trading documentation and with respect to regulatory developments affecting the derivatives markets.
- Investment advisers on regulatory and compliance matters.
Ivet is fluent in French and Spanish. She has experience in international transactions, primarily involving Latin American fund sponsors.
Ivet holds a degree in Economics magna cum laude from Harvard College. She received her J.D. with honors from Columbia Law School, where she served as editor-in-chief of the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems.
