JAMES B. BIERY is a partner in the Investment Products and Derivatives group in Chicago. He advises and represents clients in securities and derivatives-related regulatory and corporate matters, including the organization, operation and offering of interests in U.S. and offshore hedge funds, funds-of-funds, commodity pools, private equity and control/distressed debt funds, the organization and operation of investment advisers, commodity pool operators and commodity trading advisers, and fund restructurings. Jim is listed in The Best Lawyers of America for Private Funds and Hedge Funds Law and is listed in Who’s Who Legal for Private Funds.

Before going to law school, Jim was an analyst at Inland Trading Company, a proprietary bond futures trading firm then active on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade.
