CALLIE BUTCHER is a senior managing associate in Sidley’s Dallas office and practices in the IP Litigation and Technology and Life Sciences Transactions groups, focusing on complex patent litigation and patent licensing. She has represented clients in the Eastern and Northern Districts of Texas in litigation matters involving a variety of technologies, such as wireless communications, semiconductor manufacturing and consumer electronics. Her experience in these matters includes taking and defending depositions of expert and fact witnesses, e-discovery management, preparation of invalidity contentions, claim construction, Daubert challenges and trial preparation. Callie also has experience assisting clients in connection with IP due diligence, IP acquisitions, and patent cross-licensing investigation and negotiation. In addition, Callie maintains an active pro bono case load and has worked on immigration proceedings, Illinois federal court cases and Texas state court cases. In these pro bono matters, she has presented witnesses and taken a lead role in hearings.
