ORLANDO COSME is an associate in the Chicago office’s Litigation group. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and government investigations. Orlando also has an active pro bono practice centered on protecting individuals’ constitutional rights and civil liberties in the criminal justice and immigration systems.
Prior to Sidley, Orlando was a Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) Fellow at the MacArthur Justice Center, where he worked on criminal justice related impact litigation. He also worked at MacArthur for two years during law school through Northwestern’s Civil Rights Litigation Clinic as an appellate group student attorney. Additionally while in law school, Orlando was the president of the Latino Law Student Association, an executive board member of the American Constitution Society, as well as an Articles Editor for the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology.
Orlando earned his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and his B.A. in Economics and Hispanic Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
