ERIK C. DAHL is a co-leader of the firm’s Private Equity practice, Managing Partner of the Munich office and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He is a distinguished private equity adviser focused on complex business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, buyouts, joint ventures, venture capital investing, formation of private equity funds, debt and equity restructurings and workouts, special opportunities and executive compensation matters. Over the last 20 years, he has led numerous high-profile, cross-border leveraged buyouts and financial restructurings on behalf of private equity clients.
Erik has been recognized as a leading lawyer in the 2012 – 2015 editions of Chambers Global for Corporate/M&A.
Prior to joining Sidley in 2016, Erik was a partner in the private equity practice of another international law firm. He served as an officer in the U.S. Army from 1988 to 1992.
