RÉMI GAGNON practices in the Tax group in the firm’s New York office. His practice focuses on cross-border investments and transactions. Rémi also regularly advises clients on the structuring of alternative investments and the formation of alternative investment vehicles, including private equity funds, hedge funds, real estate funds and insurance-linked securities funds. Rémi’s practice includes representing issuers and underwriters in capital markets transactions with an emphasis on passive foreign investment company considerations.
Rémi holds a LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law, where he was the recipient of the Harry J. Rudick Memorial Award for distinction in the graduate tax program. Rémi obtained his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and his LL.B. from Université de Montréal.
