PATRICK GREEN is a managing associate in the Investment Funds group in the firm’s Chicago office. His practice focuses on private alternative investment funds — their structuring, management and related corporate and regulatory matters. In addition, Patrick represents investors and advisers in the negotiation of side letters, managed accounts and other strategic investment arrangements.
Prior to joining Sidley, Patrick was an associate in the Investment Management group at a law firm in Washington, D.C., where his practice focused on counseling investment companies — including mutual funds, closed-end funds and exchange-traded funds — private funds, and investment advisers in connection with various regulatory, compliance and transactional matters.
Patrick also worked at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) as a senior attorney in the Office of Oversight Liaison and Counsel as well as a senior investigator of insider trading within FINRA’s Office of Fraud Detection and Market Intelligence. Prior to graduating from law school, Patrick worked as an intern within the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of International Affairs.
Patrick received his J.D. from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law and his B.S. with High Honors from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business where he majored in Business Economics & Public Policy and Finance.
