KEEGAN HAWKINS is an associate in the firm’s Century City office and a member of the Private Equity and M&A practices. Prior to joining Sidley, Keegan was a legal intern for a boutique entertainment law firm, where he assisted on various talent representation matters.
Keegan earned his J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law, where he was editor-in-chief of the Entertainment Law Review (Vol. 28). While in law school, Keegan participated in the Documentary Film Legal Clinic alongside Professors Dale Cohen and Daniel Mayeda providing pro bono services to independent documentary filmmakers. He also served as a research assistant for the Hugh & Hazel Darling Law Library, where he worked alongside Professor Sharon Dolovich in developing the foundations of the COVID Behind Bars Data Project to track the impact of the pandemic on carceral institutions across the country. Keegan received a B.A., summa cum laude, in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
