GABRIELA ILLA is an associate in the Healthcare group practicing in the firm’s Chicago office. She focuses her practice on healthcare regulatory, compliance, transactional, and policy matters.
Gabriela’s interest in healthcare began in 2012 when she worked as a navigator assisting Latinx families enroll in expanded health insurance options under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Following her work on the ACA implementation, she conducted public health research at the Pew Charitable Trusts in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining the firm, Gabriela worked as a legal intern at Rush Health.
Gabriela earned her J.D. from DePaul University with honors and a certificate in health law. While attending DePaul, Gabriela served as lead article editor/symposium director for the DePaul Journal of Health Care Law, co-president of the Women of Color Collective, and co-president of the Public Interest Law Association. She received her B.A. in public health from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a concentration in health policy and was the recipient of the Martin Luther King Jr. Public Service Scholarship.
