ALLISON IN is a member of the Environmental practice group in Washington, D.C. Her practice focuses on assisting a broad range of clients with many aspects of environmental and safety matters, including regulatory compliance, rulemaking challenges, and litigation. She has experience representing clients in federal and state court and before administrative tribunals in connection with air quality, oil and gas, water pollution, land use, and soil contamination. Allison’s practice includes both civil and criminal enforcement defense, internal investigations, regulatory advocacy, and compliance counseling. Allison brings to the table three engineering degrees, including a master’s from MIT, allowing her to tackle the most complex environmental issues in the auto sector, energy industry, and other highly regulated industries.
Prior to joining Sidley, Allison was an environmental associate at a large law firm in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. where she advised various energy and manufacturing industry clients on a wide range of transactions. She also worked as a law clerk in the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics of the Environmental Protection Agency and clerked for Kim & Chang in Seoul, Korea.
Prior to her legal career, Allison worked as a researcher at MIT and KAIST developing environmental engineering tools. Allison has extensive research experience in water supply and wastewater systems, as well as natural resource planning.
