JOHN INGLIS is counsel at Sidley Austin Foreign Law Joint Enterprise. John’s practice focuses on a variety of energy and infrastructure transactions, including project finance, project development and acquisitions. John also regularly represents and advises clients on general corporate matters, including cross-border M&A and joint venture transactions.
John has been advising clients in Japan for more than a decade. His clients included each of the Japanese megabanks, major Japanese trading houses, export credit agencies, commercial lenders and other financial institutions in connection with their outbound investments into Asia and the U.S. John also regularly advises sponsors and utilities on the development, acquisition, and disposal of energy and infrastructure projects, including both renewable and conventional power projects.
Before relocating to Japan, John worked at a leading New York law firm where his practice focused on leveraged and project financing transactions, and private equity and other M&A matters.
