JOHN INGLIS is a counsel of Sidley Austin Nishikawa Foreign Law Joint Enterprise. His practice focuses on project finance and infrastructure, energy, and global financial services.
John has been advising Japanese clients for more than seven years, with a particular attention given to the Japanese megabanks, export credit agencies, trading houses, commercial lenders and other financial institutions in connection with their outbound investments in Asia and throughout the world.
Prior to joining Sidley in 2018, John was an associate in the project, energy and infrastructure finance group of another top tier international law firm in Tokyo.
Before moving to Japan in 2011, John worked at a leading New York law firm for over five years where his practice focused on acquisition and leveraged financing transactions and mergers and acquisitions.
