YOSUKE IWASAKI is an associate of Sidley Austin Foreign Law Joint Enterprises. His practice focuses on corporate finance, regulations for pharmaceuticals and medical devices, mergers and acquisitions, energy and infrastructure, and international trade. After working for a Japanese law office that primarily advises companies, Yosuke worked for a Japanese company engaged in development and operation of renewable energy facilities, where he provided legal support in connection with contracts, negotiation, and litigation matters as in-house counsel.
Prior to joining Sidley, he led, as a legal counsel to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the negotiation of Japan’s economic treaties including the Economic Partnership Agreements and the Bilateral Investment Agreements, and engaged in the dispute settlement procedures under WTO.
Yosuke is a native Japanese speaker and is fluent in English.
