JACOB KARIM is a member of the IP Litigation practice in Sidley’s San Francisco Office.
Prior to attending law school, Jacob briefly used his engineering degree to design aftermarket motorcycle parts and performed quality control at an aerospace manufacturing facility. For his senior project, he and a group of two other students redesigned a large section of a 227,000 square-foot manufacturing facility, resulting in a substantial decrease in production costs.
Jacob earned his J.D. from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, where he was the president of the Intellectual Property Law Society. Jacob also authored a note discussing the implications of Artificial Intelligence and CRISPR technology on the patent system in conjunction with a course on emerging technology and corporate law.
