MICHELE LUBURICH is the Knowledge Management Lawyer for the firm’s global Capital Markets practice.
Michele has significant experience with public and private securities transactions, including initial public offerings and secondary equity offerings, high-yield and investment-grade debt offerings, leveraged buyout and other acquisition financings, and liability management transactions, including debt tender and exchange offers and consent solicitations. She also has experience in the development and implementation of capital markets thought leadership, knowledge strategy and client communications programs. Before joining Sidley, Michele was a partner at a leading global law firm, where she represented publicly traded corporations, private companies, investment banks and private equity firms with respect to securities and corporate finance matters, SEC reporting and compliance, corporate governance issues and disclosure obligations.
Michele earned her B.A. in Russian and Eurasian Studies, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Middlebury College and her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as Senior Articles Editor of the Michigan Journal of International Law. Prior to law school, she worked for the U.S. Department of State.
