JACK MELAMED is an associate in the Corporate group of the firm’s Chicago office. His practice focuses on complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and corporate governance matters. Jack represents buyers and sellers in public and private mergers and acquisitions across a wide range of industries. He also advises publicly traded and private companies on a broad range of corporate law matters, including corporate governance practices and federal securities law matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Jack was an associate in the mergers and acquisitions group of an international law firm in New York. Jack received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as executive notes editor of The Georgetown Law Journal. Jack earned his B.A., cum laude, from Tulane University.
