DAVID S. MITCHELL is an associate in Sidley’s San Francisco office and a member of the Antitrust, Commercial Litigation and Disputes and Securities and Shareholder Litigation practices. He has experience litigating matters in state and federal courts across a broad range of subjects, including shareholder, antitrust, employment and energy litigation.
Prior to joining Sidley, David practiced commercial litigation and disputes as an associate at an international law firm and served on multiple trial teams. He earned a J.D. from University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where he was articles editor for the Berkeley Journal of International Law and participated in the Death Penalty Clinic, East Bay Community Law Center, California Asylum Representation Clinic and Community Legal Outreach. He received his B.A., magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, with honors in Literature and Political Science from Miami University and earned NCAA All-American honors in Division I Cross Country.
